If your child should have a dental emergency, please call our office as soon as possible. This will give us more time to assess the situation and decide on a plan of action. If it is an after hours emergency, instructions will be given on the answering machine.
The first 30 minutes after a dental accident are the most critical. If a permanent tooth is knocked out, gently rinse and replace the tooth in the socket if possible. If not, place the tooth in milk and call our office immediately. If the tooth is fractured, please bring in any pieces you can find.
Our schedule may be delayed in order to accommodate an injured child, or a child in pain. Please accept our apologies in advance should an emergency occur during your child's appointment. |
